Thinventory, global provider of field service technology and logistics has agreed to license its technology to nox Belgium and nox Netherlands following a successful management buyout.
The management of nox Belgium BV and nox Netherlands NV have signed an agreement to acquire these two entities as part of a management buy-out from STERNE Group SAS signed on July 18, with the closing of the transaction expected for August 31, 2026.
The management buy-out is supported by a strong collaboration with Thinventory who will license its field service logistics systems, including in-night delivery to locker technology, to nox Belgium and nox Netherlands with the intention of creating a locker network in these countries.
Thinventory technology and solutions in the UK are focused on delivering optimised distribution service and inventory levels, while improving engineer productivity. By working together, Thinventory, nox Belgium and nox Netherlands will be well placed to deliver the same benefits and levels of service into the Benelux region.
Thinventory will be encouraging customers with field service teams in the Benelux to get in contact as the rollout of lockers begins in the coming months.
Adam Smith, CEO of Thinventory “For a long time, our customers have wanted a way to use our services for their European operations. Our stronger collaboration with nox Belgium and nox Netherlands will make this possible.
“Through the combination of Thinventory’s technology platform and nox Belgium and nox Netherlands’s in-night network operations, we will be able to offer customers in the Benelux the industry leading solutions we already provide in the UK.”
Daniel Bleckmann, future Chairman of nox Belgium and nox Netherlands: “This step is a great opportunity for nox Belgium and nox Netherlands and their customers.
“With the new structure we can now focus more independently on our core strengths, including our field service logistics services, a business that is in our DNA. With Thinventory, we have a strong strategic partner at our side who knows our business first-hand.”
The strategic collaboration between Thinventory and the MBO has been developed as a result of the pre-existing collaboration between Thinventory and nox across the Benelux as well as Germany and Austria. nox Germany GmbH and nox Austria GmbH are not part of the transaction and will remain part of STERNE Group.
Alexander Kohnen, current Managing Director of nox Belgium and nox Netherlands will support a seamless handover to the MBO and will focus on his responsibilities in Germany and Austria after the closing. The existing collaboration with Thinventory in these markets will continue.
Olivier STORCH, CEO of Sterne Group said: “This new setup gives our former subsidiaries in Belgium and Netherlands a solid foundation to reach profitable growth.
“In Germany and Austria as the nox core markets, we will continue on our growth path and deliver best-in-class services to our customers. I am glad that this transaction opens up the prospect of a larger cooperation between Sterne Group and Thinventory”
