Thinventory announces Martin Cheeseman as new strategic development director
Thinventory has announced the appointment of a new Strategic Development Director, Martin Cheeseman.
Martin Cheeseman has taken up the brand-new role at the smart locker technology specialist, to help Thinventory drive strategic growth and break into new markets.
Martin joins from supply chain solutions provider, TVS SCS IFM (Rico Logistics) where he worked for fifteen years, playing a key role in helping the business expand into new territories across Europe and further afield.
Prior to TVS SCS IFM (Rico Logistics), Martin also spent three years at logistics and smart locker provider DX Business Direct. In total, he has more than 30 years’ experience in supply chain management businesses.
Martin said: “I am thrilled to join Thinventory. It is a great company, and I am really keen to drive the expansion of the business into new geographical territories and sectors. One of the things I have always been most passionate about is establishing relationships with prospective customers.

Thinventory currently has more than 45,000 smart lockers across more than 1,500 sites throughout the UK that enable businesses to securely collect and return equipment and parts from places of maximum convenience near their points of service.
Thinventory inventory management systems ensure that businesses can securely deliver equipment and parts to smart lockers near their points of service at locations across the UK, reducing the distance engineers need to travel to pick up and return items.
Operating in 31 countries, Thinventory delivers 30 million items per year, with 99.7% of deliveries made on time.
Thinventory works with leading brands to support vital infrastructure including hospitals, telecoms, utilities and data centres.
Thinventory has its head office in Slough, along with distribution centres in Bristol, Coventry, Doncaster, Glasgow, Huntingdon, London, Milton Keynes, Solihull and Warrington.
In 2023 the company acquired Pelipod from BT Group, which added 5,000 lockers to its nationwide estate of secure smart delivery storage and collection points.
