Field technician self-service

Technicians in the field often need additional parts or consumables, particularly if the nature of the issue isn’t fully diagnosed until they are on site. Through the Thinventory mobile app not only do they have visibility of the part(s) near to them, they also have the ability to reserve what they need before picking up the part(s). Field service dispatch inventory visibility

The growth in Field Service Management systems means that dispatchers have visibility and control over their field technicians. However, the same isn’t true for the parts, there is still a field inventory gap. Thinventory addresses this, giving dispatchers visibility of the parts in the field, or ready to be sent to the field, and control over which technician to allocate the part to. If integrated with your Field Service Management system dispatchers can create a job, allocate the field technician, and order the part(s) all within one system. Unassigned orders

The dynamic nature of field service means that in some situations it’s important that field technicians can select the next job to work on, perhaps due to it’s urgency or because the technician is already nearby. In these cases parts can be securely held close to the customer and once the job is assigned to the field technician can then select the inventory order and pick up the parts they need. This allocation approach provides scheduling flexibility and ensures that any field technician can be allocated rather than be reliant on a single technician who’s carrying the required parts in their van.
